National and International Buddhist Festivals

Kadampa Buddhist Festivals are special courses taught by the Spiritual Director and Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.

The Festivals include teachings and empowerments from the principal Teacher, reviews and meditations led by senior NKT Teachers, chanted meditations and offering ceremonies, and retreats to consolidate and deepen your understanding and experience.

Open to everyone, these Festivals are a wonderful opportunity to meet with Buddhist practitioners from all over the world and share experience and understanding with them.

International Festivals

There are three International Festivals each year:

The Spring Festival – held in the Lake District in Northern England
The Summer Festival – held in the Lake District in Northern England
The Fall Festival – held around the world – this year in Cascais, Portugal

National Festivals

The 2013 US National festival will be held at the Kadampa World Peace Temple in Glen Spey, NY. This year, we will receive the blessing empowerment of Green Tara and enjoy teachings from Advice From Atisha’s Heart from Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
