Have you ever wondered why some people seem to remain calm in the face of disaster while others appear to come undone? Even in the face of events that seem utterly unimaginable, resilience allows people to find the strength to not just survive but to prosper. Through Buddha’s wisdom teachings, we can discover the tools that enable us to remain calm, no matter what the circumstances.
What is it you truly wish for? A happy life? A meaningful life? Profound inner peace? Freedom from suffering? Or the power to change your reality? Every problem we experience can be a doorway to accomplishing these life goals. Suffering on its own has no real meaning, but if we apply spiritual teachings we can experience resilience and transformation.
In this special course, we will explore different levels of transforming adversity depending on what we want to accomplish. Friday nights teaching will provide and introduction to the course. Saturday will include 3 sessions, allowing for breaks and contemplation.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Gen Kelsang Lhadron is an American Buddhist nun who has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and a practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism since 2001. Her sincere teachings are presented with humor and practical examples that make them accessible to everyone. Through her kindness and enthusiasm for meditation practice, she provides an inspiring example of a modern Buddhist practitioner for our world.
