Teachings from The New Eight Steps to Happiness
with Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chokyan

The ancient practice of taking and giving was taught by Buddha as a powerful method to attain enlightenment quickly. Throughout the history of the practice, it has also been shown to have the power to cure heavy sickness.

The meditations on taking and giving are a supreme method to increase our merit and concentration; strengthen our love and compassion; and bring help and happiness to others. Through practicing these meditations with strong compassion for all living beings, we will gradually attain the ability to benefit all living beings directly.

In this day course, Gen Chokyan will share this ancient technique, illuminating its powerful benefits and guiding meditations. Through training in the practice of taking and giving, you will understand and experience the healing power of meditation.

About the Teacher

Gen Kelsang Chokyan

Gen Kelsang Chokyan is an American Buddhist monk. He has been practicing meditation and modern Buddhism for 16 years and is a great example of how to practice Kadampa Buddhism in the modern world. His sincere teachings are presented with humor and warmth, showing us how to find peace and happiness in our daily lives.
